Hardy once established, The Fire Shrimp is an initially shy species that can do well once established. Like all shrimps it requires careful acclimation. Sensitive to changes in specific gravity and pH, always acclimate slowly. Imported primarily from Sri Lanka, the Fire Shrimp is not quite as readily available as the Cleaner Shrimp. Although it is not an active cleaner like the Cleaner Shrimp, the Fire Shrimp is does perform some cleaning duties. Like all shrimps, they require careful acclimation. Sensitive to changes in specific gravity and pH, always acclimate slowly. |
