Be prepared for a wait and jump on it immediately when one is available, because the window of opportunity to grab one is only a matter of hours once we say "we have one". Everybody wants this fish! Described in 2003, Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus is one of the newest and most rare members of the genus. As of this writing only a handful of specimens have been available to the trade. A smaller species reaching a maximum size of only about 3", its coloration is unlike any other fairy wrasse. Being a plankton feeder, it has no interest in corals or clams and makes an excellent choice for the reef aquarium. |
