| Fast Facts |
This popular wrasse is fairly hardy once established. They are generally delicate shippers. Juveniles are lime green, while adults are lighter with green and pink markings on the "face" and a dark blotch on the side. Although smaller individuals are quite passive, large specimens can be pugnacious toward conspecifics and other wrasses (especially those introduced to a tank after they are). If you want to keep more than one in the same tank, select smaller individuals. This species must be provided with a 2 inch layer of fine sand on the aquarium bottom in which it will sleep and escape to when chased. |
