Choati Leopard Wrasse

Choati Leopard Wrasse

Latin Name Macropharyngodon choati
Common Name Choati Leopard Wrasse

Fast Facts The Choati Leopard Wrasse is, seldom available, rare and never plentiful. Be sure to act immediately when available because they sel out in 12-24 hours. This lovely red and white wrasse is only known from eastern Australia. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to keep. Do not attempt without a reef tank with plenty of live rock, live sand, and willingness to gamble. Live substrate should be provided, as it will need the associated micro-invertebrates to supplement its diet. It will bury under the sand when threatened or stressed. A productive refugium will help provide a constant source of natural prey. Will not bother other fishes, but is very prone to be picked on by any fish that isn't extremely docile.
