| Fast Facts |
The Choati Leopard Wrasse is, seldom available, rare and never plentiful. Be sure to act immediately when available because they sel out in 12-24 hours. This lovely red and white wrasse is only known from eastern Australia. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to keep. Do not attempt without a reef tank with plenty of live rock, live sand, and willingness to gamble. Live substrate should be provided, as it will need the associated micro-invertebrates to supplement its diet. It will bury under the sand when threatened or stressed. A productive refugium will help provide a constant source of natural prey. Will not bother other fishes, but is very prone to be picked on by any fish that isn't extremely docile.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a restricted species and is not covered by our live arrival guarantee. They are delicate shippers and difficult to maintain. |
