Surge Wrasse Male RED SEA

Surge Wrasse Male RED SEA

Latin Name Thalassoma purpureum
Common Name Surge Wrasse Male RED SEA
Also known as Red Surge Wrasse
Fast Facts This stunning and exceptionally hardy species is an excellent choice for the "bold fish tank". Provide it with a large tank and plenty of open swimming space. It is a voracious feeder whose preferred cuisine includes a wide range of invertebrates. Do not keep with small or docile fishes, as this a bold species. You should keep it with moderately aggressive tankmates in a large aquarium of 125 gallons or larger. Seen in person, the colors of this fish are a striking green-blue with pink stripes. Seldom available and never plentiful, be sure to jump on them fast when available! The Hawaiian Male Suege Wrasse is nearly identical. Check it out if the Red Sea is not avaibale. Both are very hard to get.
