PHOTO NOTE
Shown is the female, males are even nicer.
This attractive and exceptionally hardy wrasse is an excellent choice for the "bold fish tank". Provide it with a large tank and plenty of open swimming space. It is a voracious feeder whose preferred cuisine includes a wide range of invertebrates. Do not keep with very small or docile fishes, as this a bold species. You should keep it with moderately aggressive tankmates or, if you want to keep it with more docile species, make sure they are larger. Seldom available and never plentiful, be sure to jump on them fast when available! |
