This recently described species is seldom seen in the trade. Be sure to grab them fast when available! This Indian Ocean endemic is quite similar to its Pacific counterpart, theYellow Eye Kole Tang. In this species, the body and head is covered in numerous light colored dots. It is an active species that will graze on microalgae growing on the aquarium glass and décor. Its teeth are adapted for diatoms off of hard substrates and its needs are easily met in the aquarium.It is a passive tang that gets along well in the community aquarium.
