AVAILABILITY NOTE
This fish is so popular and scarce you'll need to jump on it immediately when available because everyone wants one and the window of opportunity to grab it is a matter of hours once we say "we have one".
A distinctive species that is seldom collected, Acanthurus guttatus has a fairly large range in nature, but it lives primarily in the surge zone, making its capture extremely difficult. It is thought that the spots on the rear half of its body help it blend with the turbulent, bubble filled waters in which it lives. It does very well in captivity, notably sturdier than other tangs, and resembles no other available species.
