This rare tang is not an overly aggressive fish and will usually not bother fish tankmates, with the possible exception of close relatives. Provide this active fish with plenty of swimming room, as well one or two hiding places. Its teeth are adapted for browsing on diatoms (brown algae) off of hard substrates and its needs are easily met.
