| Fast Facts | PLEASE NOTE This fish has become quite rare and they sell out and ship out on MONDAYS. Unless you ship on MONDAY, you will NOT get this fish. This stunning fish is chocolate brown, (looks black) with an orange teardrop-shaped patch around the spine in front of the tail and orange on the tail and at the base of the dorsal and anal fins. This is one of the more demanding members of the Acanthurus clan. In the wild this species prefers turbulent water flow. Provide this active fish with a large tank with plenty of swimming room, as well plenty of hiding places. Keep only one per tank. Offer a varied diet that includes frozen and flake foods for herbivores as well as dried algae sheets. Availability Notes: Achilles Tangs are most often collected in the 3"-4" range, smalller or larger specimens are less commonly available. |
