A spectacular but often difficult animal, the Zebra Shark demands nothing short of perfect surroundings, peaceful tankmates and an experienced shark keeper as its owner. Do not keep with curious fishes such as triggers or active wrasses (eg: Thalassoma sp.) as these fishes may harm the small shark. Can be difficult to fed. Offer live grass shrimp to initiate a feeding response. Some individuals will accept meaty seafoods such as shrimp, scallops or marine fish flesh. May fast for weeks before it begins feeding.
