This is one of the most readily available members of the genus. This species and a few similar species are sold in the trade as "Spotted Puffer". When ordering a "Spotted" type puffer (from anyone), keep in mind this species or a few other very similar looking species may be shipped. They make great aquarium fish, they have lots of personality and are very easy to maintain. Keep only one per tank. Great choice for a fish only aquarium. |
