Common Name Purple Goatfish

Fast Facts AVAILABILITY NOTE
This fish is not particularly rare, however, it is not often available, and not a popular species. Contact us is you're serious about getting one. The window of opportunity to get one when available is small, so jump on them fast.

This species is not common in the trade. Provide this species with plenty of swimming space, several good hiding places and nonaggressive tankmates. This species will eat small fish and crustacean tankmates. You can keep more than one per tank, but you should add them simultaneously. This species will grub in the substrate, which aids in keeping it stirred and clean. Provide with plenty of open bottom space, and a sand substrate (preferably "live sand").
