| Fast Facts |
You probably just thought, "What the hell is that!" Answer? The rare fish enthusiast's equivalent of winning the lottery. It's Meuschenia hippocrepis-- didn't you know? To be honest, none of us may ever see another one of these, but one thing we can guarantee; If you get an email saying we have one, jump on it instantly if you want it, because if you don't, someone else will-- in a millisecond. Once the "in stock" notifications go out-- this fish is GONE! This isn't your stereotypical rare fish that's collected in "small quantities"-- this thing is like one at a time, maybe one every few years, if you're lucky. Need more answers? The handful we've had over the years have been around 4"-7" and have all done great. In the wild these filefishes are found around sea grass beds and costal reefs-- more of an insular species, which is probably be why they're easier to maintain than most filefishes. |
