| Fast Facts |
This is an attractive, smaller moray that can vary in color. Some, such as the "Goldentail" variant shown here are dark with light yellowish spots and a yellow tail. Others can be yellow or yellowish-gold over much or all of their bodies. These mostly yellow individuals are known as the Golden Moray. It is not that pugnacious for a moray, although it may eat fish it can swallow. It usually does well with other eels of similar size. It may fast on occasion, and can go for long periods without food, but usually begins feeding in a week or two after feeding cessation began.
