True Percula Clown: Tank Raised

True Percula Clown: Tank Raised

Latin Name Amphiprion percula
Common Name True Percula Clown: Tank Raised
Also known as Percula Clownfish, Percula Anemonefish, Percula Clownfish, Clown Anemonefish
Fast Facts Tank raised specimens generally fare better than wild collected specimens, which have a poor reputation when it comes to its hardiness in captivity, shipping notoriously poorly. Even tank rised specimens can be touchy. This species is more aggressive towards members of its own kind than the similar Ocellaris Clown. Naturally occurs in Sebae, Magnificent and carpet anemones, all of which are difficult to keep. Does not require an anemone to do well in captivity. The True Percula Clown is much less frequently available as the similar Ocellaris Clown.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a restricted species and is not covered by our live arrival guarantee. Although clownfish can be hardy, they ship notoriously poorly and are very susceptible to Clownfish Disease (Brooklynella hostilis).
