Amphiprion percula |
| Common Name |
True Percula Clown |
| Also known as |
Percula Clownfish, Percula Anemonefish, Percula Clownfish, Clown Anemonefish |
| Fast Facts |
This is a tremendously popular fish that typically results in disappointment. Wild collected specimens have a poor reputation when it comes to its hardiness in captivity, and they ship notoriously poorly. Expect losses with True Perula Clowns. This attractive fish is more aggressive towards members of its own species than the similar Ocellaris Clown. Naturally occurs in Sebae, Magnificent and carpet anemones, all of which are difficult to keep. Does not require an anemone to do well in captivity. The True Percula Clown is much less frequently available as the similar Ocellaris Clown.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a restricted species and is not covered by our live arrival guarantee. Although clownfish can be hardy, they ship notoriously poorly and are very susceptible to Clownfish Disease (Brooklynella hostilis). |
