Ocellaris Clown

Ocellaris Clown

Latin Name Amphiprion ocellaris
Common Name Ocellaris Clown
Also known as False Perula Clown, Fake Percula, False Clown Anemonefish
Fast Facts The beautiful coloration and endearing personality of this fish has made it a favorite of the neophyte and experienced aquarist alike. Unfortunately, this fish has a poor reputation when it comes to its hardiness in captivity and they ship notoriously poorly. Expect losses with Ocellaris Clowns. Being a passive species, do not keep them with larger, more aggressive clownfishes. Naturally occurs in Magnificent and Carpet Anemones.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a restricted species and is not covered by our live arrival guarantee. Although clownfish can be hardy, they ship notoriously poorly and are very susceptible to Clownfish Disease (Brooklynella hostilis).
