Fire Clown

Fire Clown

Latin Name Amphiprion ephippium
Common Name Fire Clown
Also known as Red Saddleback Clownfish, Fire Clownfish, Fire Anemonefish, Red Saddleback Anemonefish
Fast Facts This beauty is bright reddish-orange overall, with a black saddle on the back. Younger specimens (shown) may have a white bar on the side of the head. While this can be a durable aquarium inhabitant, they ship poorly and very susceptible to Clownfish Disease (Brooklynella hostilis). This can be an aggressive fish that should not be kept with smaller, more passive tankmates. Naturally occurs in Bubbletip and Sebae Anemones.
