This distinctive and extremely rare butterfly usually does well in the home aquarium. However, they are usually slow to begin feeding. Only one individual should be kept per tank, as they are often aggressive toward one another. Although it usually takes a bold stance with other butterflies, it is passive with non-related tankmates. Very difficult to obtain.
