| Fast Facts |
Of a handful of (very) similar looking species, this is the one you're most likely to find available. This is a wide-ranging member of the genus that is blue-gray on the head and anterior part of the body and yellow on the rear of the body and tail. It also has black markings over the eyes. It spends most of its times swimming or hovering in the water column. It is often seen hanging above the substrate, with its head down, searching for food. It is usually ignored by its tankmates, because it has venomous fangs that it will employ if attacked. Great for a reef tank. Will not harm corals or any other ornamental invertebrates. It will also do better in a reef tank, feeding on the microfauna that lives on the "live substrate."
