Parvirostris Anthias

Parvirostris Anthias

Latin Name Pseudanthias parvirostris
Common Name Parvirostris Anthias
Also known as Diadem Anthias, Shortsnout Anthias, Sunset Anthias, Yellow Stripe Anthias
Fast Facts This lovely, rare little Anthias is occasionally exported from the Maldives and the Solomon Islands. It is a fairly hardy anthias that (like all anthias) must be housed with peaceful tankmates. Provide plenty of hiding places and clean, well oxygenated water. You can facilitate acclimation by keeping it in a dimly-lit tank until it settles in to its new home. Then gradually increase light levels. More than one can be kept in the same tank, although males may fight if crowded. Although it will usually take frozen mysid or brine shrimp, it may require live food initially.
