Bicolor Pygmy Angel

Bicolor Pygmy Angel

Latin Name Centropyge bicolor
Common Name Bicolor Pygmy Angel
Also known as Bicolor Angel, Bicolor Angelfish, Oriole Angelfish, Bi-Color Angel
Fast Facts The bicolor angelfish is very easy to recognize. It is yellow anteriorly and deep blue on the posterior portion of the body. As for all members of the genus Centropyge, this species is more likely to acclimate to the tank if there is live rock or some filamentous algae present for it to graze upon. The bicolor angelfish is not as aggressive toward other fish tankmates as some of the other members of the genus, and it is not as hardy as most other pygmy angels. Do not house with other remotely boisterous fishes. If you keep more than one, make sure to add them simultaneously, and only attempt multiple specimens in a very large tank with plenty of hiding places.
