| Fast Facts |
The Yellow Pygmy Angelfish is very easy to recognize. It is solid yellow with only a tiny bit of faint black around the eyes and on the fins. As for all members of the genus Centropyge, this species is more likely to acclimate to the tank if there is live rock or some filamentous algae present for it to graze upon. The yellow pygmy angelfish is not as aggressive toward other fish tankmates as some of the other members of the genus, and like the very similar Lemonpeel Pygmy Angel, it is not quite as hardy as most other pygmy angels. Be sure to provide live rock on which it can graze. Do not house with other remotely boisterous fishes. If you keep more than one, make sure to add them simultaneously, and only attempt multiple specimens in a very large tank with plenty of hiding places. |
