Fast Facts This fish is usually deep blue overall, with light pectoral fins and a white tail. Provide it with plenty of shelter sites. It feeds primarily on diatoms (brown algae) and algae growing on the aquarium glass or décor. There is bright blue on the pelvic fins and along the edge of the anal fin. This species is an overall great aquarium fish that can be quite hardy in a well maintained aquarium. Provide with plenty of nooks and crannies. May also do better in a tanks with some microalgae or live rock. More than individual can be housed in the same tank, but make sure you add them simultaneously and only in large aquariums.
