Fast Facts AVAILABILITY NOTE
This is a mega rare and popular item. How rare? That's a 1980's photo-- haven't seen many males lately. If this is on your wish list, you'll need to be very serious about getting one, because everyone wants this fish! You'll need to get on the waiting list for this item, be prepared for a long wait and to jump on it immediately when one available, because the window of opportunity to grab one is only a matter of hours once we say "we have one".

Members of the genus Genicanthus are planktivores and will not bother corals or clams in the aquarium, making them the perfect reef angel. Both males and females are gorgeous, but the coveted males shown here are virtually unobtainable. It is typically many months between specimens. If you like this one, don't hold your breath, and be sure to get on the waiting list since they're quickly snatched up by rare angelfish collectors, and males are typically available only one at a time. The Masked Swallowtail Angelfish readily adapts to life in captivity, accepting aquarium fare and acclimating to the conditions found in a well-maintained aquarium after they've adjusted. These fish are active and spend most of the daylight hours swimming about in mid-water. Therefore, it is important to provide them with plenty of swimming room.
