| Fast Facts | Also known as the "Purple Frilly Mushroom", this is one of the more impressive varieties available. Actinic lighting will help bring out their color. It is bright green with pinkish/lavender tips, and when well expanded the mushrooms have a very full appearance. This variety of mushroom is hardy, but they're not quite as bulletproof as other mushrooms, which are nearly indestructible. Placing pieces in the middle or lower in the aquarium for indirect lighting and low to medium water movement promotes the best expansion, but they will but will adapt to a wide variety of conditions. Feeding is not necessary or recommended, particularly if fish are being fed in the aquarium, but feeding may enhance growth. The Lavender Mushroom is recommended for any well-maintained reef aquarium. | ||||||||||||||||||||
