Fast Facts PHOTO NOTE:
Shown is a piece that is tightly closed up-- it's much prettier when expanded!

Tremendously popular, Orange Soft Coral is one of the only corals available in this sort of orange color. Only somewhat photosynthetic (if at all), these corals do not require much lighting, although they are not harmed by it, providing it is not too intense. Placing directly under intense lighting should be avoided, but proper water movement is a must. Strong water flow throughout the tank, for example, directed at tank walls, is recommended. Alternating or pulsing water flow is even better. Although similar looking, these corals are much hardier than the related Carnation Coral Dendronepthea, and Red Silk Coral If you like this one, you'll also like the Pink Soft Coral which is also available. (same thing, different color). These corals are not abundant in the trade. They tend to run small, large pieces are rarely available.

Note: All soft corals can expand and contract tremendously. Size will vary from smaller when you receive them, to larger once they have adjusted to your aquarium for a period of weeks.
Sizes Around 2"-3". REMEMBER: All soft corals can expand and contract tremendously.
