One of the best soft corals for the aquarium. Umbrella Leathers from Fiji typically have a nicer color and shape, and longer, denser polyps than commonly available Indonesian Leathers, although they're all nice since we hand pick all our corals! The image shown is a generalization, appearance will vary. These corals grow quickly and can quickly become a showpiece after they are established. Does best in medium to bright lighting, and strong water movement, directed around the coral (not drilling directly into the coral). When placing them in your aquarium, find a good spot and leave them alone. Excessive handling can damage newly arrived specimens. Once established these are one of the easiest to maintain of all corals.

Shown is a very large colony of what Fiji calls "Green Umbrella". Although these are definitely the nicest Umbrella type Leathers available, we prefer to not tout these as green, although the industry does. They do appear greenish when compared to common brown Indonesian Umbrella Leathers, but if you have no basis of comparison, don't think of these as "green", but ,"as nice as leathers get".

Note: These soft corals can expand and contract tremendously. Size will vary from smaller when you receive them, to larger until they have adjusted to your aquarium for a period of weeks.
