| Fast Facts | One of the most colorful, popular, and best of all soft corals for the aquarium. These hardy corals have thick finger-like lobes covered in tiny polyps. The image shown is a generalization, appearance will vary. There are many species of Lobophytum and similar soft corals collected for the trade, and all can thrive in the well-maintained reef aquarium. Does best in bright lighting and strong water movement, they can adapt to a wide variety of conditions. Small and medium sized pieces are semi regularly available, larger pieces are seldom available. Soft corals can expand and contract tremendously. Size will vary from smaller when you receive them, to larger until they have adjusted to your aquarium for a period of weeks. We go conservative on the "specified sizes" due to this. Shown is a very large colony photographed underwater. | ||||||||||||||||
