AVAILABILITY NOTE
Montopora capricornis is rarely available, never available more than a few pieces at a time, and they're grabbed up by SPS enthusiasts in a millisecond.

Montopora capricornis is one the most sought after and least frequently available SPS Corals. See other SPS corals for items that are more likely to be in stock. Larger pieces such as the one shown are generally more intricate in shape than smaller pieces. Colors and shapes will vary.

To maintain the color and health of Montopora it is imperative to maintain absolutely perfect water quality in an established reef aquarium, high pH, calcium and alkalinity levels, and maintain extremely low phosphate and nitrate levels. Montopora demands intense lighting, preferably supplied by metal halide lights, and strong, preferably intermittent water flow. Color will vary depending on the lighting conditions in your aquarium. Actinic lighting or metal halide lighting heavy in the blue spectrum will enhance their color.
