One of the easier to maintain hard corals, Plate Coral is regularly available. Can thrive in a wide range of conditions. Acclimates best in low water flow and indirect lighting, they can adapt to a wide variety of conditions. Best placed on sand bottoms, do not place on rock, as the tissue is easily damaged by rubbing against rocks. Placing Plate Corals on rocks is a common mistake that often kills them. Also available in an impressive and uncommon Metallic Green color. Plate Coral is closely related to Fungia, which lacks the tentacles of the plate, and is also available in Purple and Orange |
