| Fast Facts | One of the easier to maintain hard corals, Plate Coral is regularly available, but the bright green form is rare and spectacular. Can thrive in a wide range of conditions. Acclimates best in low water flow and indirect lighting, they can adapt to a wide variety of conditions. Best placed on sand bottoms, do not place on rock, as the tissue is easily damaged by rubbing against rocks. Placing Plate Corals on rocks is a common mistake that often kills them. Also available in the more familiar regular white/pink Plate Coral color. Plate Coral is closely related to Fungia, which lacks the tentacles of the Plate, and is also available in Purple and Orange | ||||||||||||||||
